Watch the video of Max Verstappen driving the new Aston Martin Vantage.
Powered by a new AMG-derived twin turbo V8, the car puts out over 500 hp and 650 Nm of torque. The chassis is based on the DB11 Architecture with 100mm taken out of the wheelbase, making it more agile. It’s also almost 200kg lighter than the V12 DB11.
The development prototype is camouflaged, but you can still make out the DB10-esque silhouette and the very aggressive rear diffuser.
Max Verstappen drove the car at Rockingham, incidentally where he first tested a Red Bull F1 car, and superstar chassis engineer Matt Becker was on hand to show him the car. You couldn’t ask for a better development team, and they certainly seem excited about the new car.
